At the ceremony of awarding the Best Educators of Serbia, today 11 awards were presented to the best educators of our country, at the Club of the Prophet in Belgrade, and organized by the non-profit, non-governmental Association for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship "Živojin Mišić".
At the opening of the ceremony, Ivona Jovanović, the coordinator of the Association "Živojin Mišić", addressed the attendees, emphasizing the pride of the Association, for the fourth year in a row, the Association's award goes to those who with their specialty in work, entrepreneurial spirit and energy contribute to the development of entrepreneurship, system in Serbia. "Today we can say that we have a strong team of around 59 educators, as well as members of the commission who help us, from year to year, to see the project look what it looks like today, and we are determined to improving it further!"
The participants were addressed by colleagues from the previous three generations of the Best Educators of Serbia, as well as one of the representatives of the Prize Committee Best Educators of Serbia in 2017. "Today we are here because you have passed a serious, detailed selection. Today you are here because you are special and different, and because you are changing the physiognomy of education in this country", said Tatjana Marković Topalović, winner of the Best Educators of Serbia 2014 award and explained that " Živojin Mišić” Association chooses, rewards, changes and persists in the process of improving education and entrepreneurship, and this award has moral value for every educational worker."
In front of the commission that participated in the selection process of this year's best educators, Dragica Pavlović Babić, PISA Research Coordinator in Serbia and associate of the Institute for Psychology in the field of education spoke to the participants, pointing out that "this is a rare opportunity when we talk about education affirmatively and when with a small, but strong steps we are changing education."
After the ceremony, four generations of educators of Serbia participated in workshops organized by colleagues (teachers - teachers), as well as focus groups with the goal of explaining to each other the initiatives on which they work and inviting colleagues to action, that is, supporting initiatives and, during the next In the course of the year, they are building local and national projects. In accordance with the interest of the educators, the Association "Živojin Mišić" will support the implementation of the initiatives in 2018.
