Vladimir Prelovac and the Association "Živojin Mišić" are winners of the philanthropy award in Serbia!

The Serbian Philanthropic Association from New York gave recognition to Vladimir Prelovac and the Association "Živojin Mišić" for their contribution to the development of philanthropy in Serbia!

According to the Serbian Philanthropic Association, the association "Živojin Mišić" deserved this recognition because it has been awarding exceptional teachers in Serbia for seven years in a row through the project The Best Educators in Serbia.

The Serbian Philanthropic Association points out:
"It is not an exaggeration to say that teachers, who build self-confidence in young people, inspire them to reach for their dreams and give them tools for success, truly build entire societies.
For seven years, the Association "Živojin Mišić" has been finding innovative, proactive, and inspiring primary and secondary school teachers in Serbia. The Association has been rewarding them financially, showing respect for the profession, and inspiring teachers to achieve the best in the classroom. When we considered the nominations for this year's award, the Association "Živojin Mišić" stood out with great optimism, careful focus on the skills needed for success in today's world that is constantly changing and a huge impact on the most significant segment of the population - young people. Congratulations to Mr. Prelovac and the Association "Živojin Mišić" on this award."

The Serbian Philanthropic Association is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organization based in New York. The Association is dedicated to projects and initiatives for strengthening the Serbian community by providing opportunities for those who need it and preserving the Serbian heritage.

One of the activities of the Association is the Gala Evenings, which has been held since 2019. It aims to connect and strengthen the relations of Serbs in the diaspora. As part of the Gala Evening, the Association presents awards to individuals and organizations whose charitable work has contributed to the betterment of the global Serbian community.

This year, the second Gala evening was held on November 12 in New York. In the category of an organization working in Serbia, Vladimir Prelovac and the Association "Živojin Mišić" received recognition for the development of philanthropy. Besides the Association, the recognition for the development of philanthropy in the diaspora was given to the humanitarian organization Serbian-American Medical Association (SAMA).
