Our project “National Teacher Prize” is part of the “Global Teacher Prize” project which is held by Varkey Foundation. Association Zivojin Misic is a national partner with Varkey Foundation, that makes our project “The best educators in Serbia” prequalified competition for “National Teacher Prize”.

About project

 
All teachers and professors from primary and secondary schools who are winners of the "The Best Educators in Serbia", who are actively working in teaching profession , have the right to participate in the "National Teacher Prize" competition and plan to work in teaching profession for another 5 years. The right to participate in the contest for the "National Teacher Prize" also has candidates who participated in the election in previous years, in accordance with the Ordinance of the Varkey Foundation.
Our project “National Teacher Prize” is part of the “Global Teacher Prize” project which is held by Varkey Foundation. Association Zivojin Misic is a national partner with Varkey Foundation, that makes our project “The best educators in Serbia” prequalified competition for “National Teacher Prize”. Our goal is to select up to five of the best educators from Serbia, as prescribed by the Varkey Foundation. The winners of the national competition (up to the fifth winner) will be placed on the "Global Teacher Prize", which will continue to function according to the rules of the Varkey Foundation. Through this project, we want to once again praise, reward and encourage outstanding teachers in Serbia, and give them the opportunity to find themselves at one of the world's largest educational competitions, the "Global Teacher Prize".

Candidates who hold the title "The Best Educators in Serbia" can apply for the "National Teacher Prize" award, through the form they receive from the Association Živojin Mišić, which is in accordance with the form received from the Varkey Foundation. Candidates can apply themselves, or may be nominated by one of the colleagues of the "The Best Educators in Serbia".

CRITERIA

Use of effective teaching practices that affect the quality of education on a global level

2.

Use of an innovative curriculum that influences the work of the school, the environment and the state, and which has proven to be a good method for solving new challenges in the future

3.

Achievements of a nominated teacher

4.

Impact on the community

5.

Developing students as a citizen of the world through provision of value-based education
which will prepare them for the world in which they will live and work with people of different nationalities, cultures and religions

6.

Improving the teaching profession by raising the level of teaching, exchanging good practice and
cooperation with colleagues

7.

Recognize the work of teachers by students, colleagues, school principals or other members
