During the winter break, within the CPN project "Be a Scientist", the second winter school of physics will be organized to promote science / physics, for students from 12 to 15 years (6th, 7th and 8th grade) in the Science Club Kragujevac.
Considering last year's positive experience from such socializing (Winter school - Mućni Glavom!), we decided that this winter students actively participate in five completely new integrative workshops in order to develop critical thinking when solving problem tasks and realizing real, thought and virtual experiments.

Planned workshops:
Planned workshops:
The use of mobile phone applications (by measuring the noise level near the Science Club it would be possible to understand its harmful impact (physics and ecology));
- Coding (QR code), designing and solving jeopardy tasks (by reading for comprehension, students would reach the depth structure of the problem (physics and Serbian);
- Realization of measurements in virtual (PhET simulation) and real electric circuit would enable the observation of the difference in the results of the realized measurements (physics and technology);
Thought experiments - What would happen if it were… are primarily aimed at inducing curiosity in students (physics and philosophy)
Young people are given access to advanced technologies and modern scientific concepts, but the world of knowledge / science in school is often made up of separate "corridors", so it is sometimes difficult for students to believe that they are part of a whole. With an integrative approach and meaningful use of ICT (Information and Communications Technologies), students would synthesize parts of knowledge / science into one whole. Participation in various activities that go beyond formal education will enable them to be researchers themselves and thus get closer to science.
By actively acquiring integrated knowledge about the natural phenomena that surround us, through research, students will form the basis of a scientific method by which they would see the unbreakable link between physics, other sciences and ICT. An integrative approach to science in this Winter School gives the opportunity to set the problem situation within the framework of physics, and then analyze the problem thanks to knowledge from other scientific disciplines. This innovative approach will undoubtedly have a great impact on the quality of acquired knowledge.
Participants of the Winter School of Physics II will have the opportunity to spend part of their winter vacation socializing, developing key skills for the 21st century.
